Fenton's Great Run Ends Predictably

After a late start to the season, Fenton struck gold for the first 8 games of the season, going 7-0-1 to start the 2006-2007 campaign.

A season opening doubleheader against Fox Hill and River City started the season strong with 2 wins. Fenton then went on the road for the next string of games. The road trip started with a tough tie after an overruled referee's ruling against TDL paused the run with a tie.

Fenton was able to pick up two close wins against Swansea and Barntonia, two very tough opponents. They then returned home to face the South City franchise, whose status was questionable this season. A victory against South City was followed by a win against Soulard. Soulard's goaltending was beyond fantastic, stopping dozens of Fenton shots until one snuck through in OT.

Then the inevitable happened...a road trip to CWE ended in the first loss. After Fenton's near miss to tie, CWE played controlled ball and cruised to the 3-0 victory. CWE showed the class and control on the pitch that makes them a favorite of many to play and a favorite to win the season.

Fenton has a hard run to the end of the season...a home and away set with Shaw and a home game against Florissant round out the games against the Old Firm. A game against longtime rival Webster Groves, followed by games against Crystal City Palace and South County look to make an exciting finish to the season.
